WhyMe Terms of Use

WhyMe is a personal organization and self-expression tool. You represent your goals, people, projects, motivations, memories and ideas as satellites around an avatar you create. WhyMe does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic or emergency services, does not provide professional advice, and does not promise any health, wellbeing or emotional-improvement outcome.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for the content you create and for the use you make of the app. You confirm you have the rights needed for the content you add, and you must not use WhyMe to store or share content that is illegal or that infringes the rights of others.

Your avatar, satellites, whys, memories and images are your personal content. You can create, edit, organize and delete them within the app. How this content is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

When using WhyMe, you agree not to engage in:

• Illegal content or activity.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
• Exploitation or abuse of any person.
• Inappropriate sexual content, especially anything involving minors.
• Infringing the intellectual property or other rights of third parties.
• Malicious use, or disrupting the app or its security.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling or attempting to extract source code from the app.

WhyMe, including its design, branding, software and visual elements, is owned by Derby Wife (Michel Pierre Suarez Medel) or used under license, and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify or create derivative works from the app without permission.

You retain ownership of the content you create. To provide the service, you grant Derby Wife a limited permission to store, display, process and synchronize your content within the app, solely so that WhyMe can work for you. This permission ends when your content or account is deleted, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy.

When premium features are enabled, they are mainly cosmetic or personalization options — such as skins, backgrounds, avatar elements and aesthetic elements for your satellites. Purchases or subscriptions will be offered through Google Play Billing and/or RevenueCat when available.

When premium is available, purchases are managed through the applicable store or platform (for example, Google Play). Renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled according to that store's policies. We do not process direct refunds outside the Google Play (or Apple, where applicable) policies that apply to your purchase.

WhyMe is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, be paused or be discontinued, especially while the app is evolving.

We may suspend or terminate access to WhyMe if these terms are violated or to protect users and the service. You may stop using WhyMe at any time.

You can request deletion of your account and data by writing to support@derbywife.com, and through an in-app option when it is available. See the Account Deletion page for full details.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WhyMe is provided without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, and Derby Wife (Michel Pierre Suarez Medel) is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of WhyMe.

To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Michel Pierre Suarez Medel and Derby Wife for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid for WhyMe during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you did not pay anything, the maximum economic liability is zero, or the minimum permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections.

We may update WhyMe and these terms over time. When we update these terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
